Copyright Infringement Notification

If you believe content on Podiela infringes your copyright, submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent:

Required Information

Your notice must include:

1. Identification of copyrighted work: Describe the work you believe is infringed
2. Identification of infringing material: URL or specific location of the content
3. Contact information: Your name, address, phone, and email
4. Good faith statement: "I have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner"
5. Accuracy statement: "The information in this notification is accurate"
6. Authority statement: "I am authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner"
7. Signature: Physical or electronic signature

Our Response Process

1. Review (24-48 hours): We verify the notice meets DMCA requirements
2. Takedown: If valid, we remove or disable access to the material
3. Notification: We notify the user who posted the content
4. Counter-Notice Period: User has 10 business days to file a counter-notice
5. Restoration: If no counter-notice, content stays down. If counter-notice filed, content may be restored after 10-14 days

Counter-Notification

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or you have permission to use it, you may file a counter-notice.

Required Information

1. Identification: Your name, address, phone, and email
2. Identification of material: Description of removed content and its location
3. Good faith statement: "I have a good faith belief that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification"
4. Consent to jurisdiction: "I consent to jurisdiction of Federal District Court"
5. Acceptance of service: "I will accept service of process from the complainant"
6. Signature: Physical or electronic signature

Repeat Infringer Policy

Under the DMCA, we maintain a policy for terminating repeat infringers:

• First offense: Warning and content removal
• Second offense: Temporary suspension (7-30 days)
• Third offense: Permanent account termination

Accounts terminated for repeat infringement cannot be reinstated.

Fair Use

Before filing a notice, consider whether the use might be fair use:

• Commentary and criticism
• Parody and satire
• Educational use
• News reporting
• Transformative use

Fair use is determined on a case-by-case basis. Misrepresenting fair use as infringement may have legal consequences.
